PBN HEALTHY JOINT BLEND

For people and pets with arthritis and other joint problems, the words glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM are becoming as commonplace as aspirin. Pets By Nature believes that dietary supplementation should be approached cautiously and with much education. After much research, we are proud to offer our new PBN Healthy Joint Formula. Supplementation with PBN Healthy Joint Formula can effectively aid your pets’ natural defenses by working to build new cartilage, prevent further destruction, and reduce the pain and inflammation in the affected joints. We know it works. But before you buy it, we want you to know why it works.

What are these supplements and what do they do?
Glucosamine and Chondroitin are both produced naturally in the body where they serve two main purposes; 1) build healthy new cartilage; and 2) inhibit enzymes that are destructive to the joints, thereby preventing further deterioration. The production of glucosamine and chondroitin decreases with age, causing the cartilage to break down more quickly than the body can heal and renew it. MSM (short for methylsulfonylmethane) is a natural anti-inflammatory and analgesic. It supplies sulfur to the body, which can be used for the treatment of osteoarthritis (sulfur is an essential chemical needed for the synthesis of cartilage), allergies, and digestive disorders. In arthritic cartilage, the concentration of sulfur is about one-third the level found in normal cartilage. MSM may help treat arthritis via an anti-inflammatory benefit and by providing sulfur used by the cartilage in the healing process. Studies in people and animals receiving MSM show improved joint flexibility, reduced stiffness and swelling, and reduced pain. Animals with rheumatoid arthritis who were given MSM showed no further cartilage degeneration.

Why do I need all three?
While both glucosamine and chondroitin are effective individually, many doctors feel that combining them enhances the ability of both substances to repair cartilage due to a natural synergistic effect. Adding the MSM provides a natural anti-inflammatory benefit that reduces pain and restores greater range-of-motion without the side effects of NSAIDs* usually prescribed for arthritis and joint pain.

How quickly does it work?
When people or pets receive glucosamine supplements, results usually take 4 to 8 weeks to appear. We have found that, by including digestive enzymes with the joint supplements, the body responds much more quickly. Pets By Nature clients have seen marked improvement within a  week of receiving PBN Healthy Joint Formula.

Are there any side effects?
MSM has not been shown to have any negative side effects. The only known side effect of glucosamine and chondroitin is mild digestive distress, which can cause diarrhea in some pets. PBN Healthy Joint Formula includes probiotics to increase the healthy bacteria in the intestines as well as digestive enzymes to help your pet in absorption and utilization of the beneficial joint compounds. This combination of ingredients provides all the benefits of joint health and repair with little or none of the side effects of supplements containing only the joint compounds.
