Authorship
All the articles listed here were researched and written by me (Laura Murphy, Owner of Pets by Nature). I am not a veterinarian and none of the information provided here is intended to replace qualified veterinary care. I am, however, a researcher and writer, a life-long pet owner, and an occasional rescue volunteer. As such, I offer my assurances that each article has been researched to the best of my abilities, and that applicable sources have been cited, wherever possible. Granted, many of the articles are skewed by my personal convictions and experiences, but I have tried to be fair and to offer and honor alternative viewpoints. My intention is to provide information that is meaningful, current, and which may help pet owners provide the best natural diet and health care possible.
Pet Food Ingredients

What's Really In Pet Food?
This collection of articles focuses on some of the more questionable ingredients in commercial pet foods. Now, more than ever, it is essential that we as pet owners, educate ourselves about what is going into our animal companions' bodies. Some pet food manufacturers are still using preservatives that have been proven to cause cancer. Even ingredients that are considered healthy (like garlic) can have deadly consequences. Learn here how to read labels and make informed decisions designed to enhance the lives of your pets.

Comments or Criticism?
I welcome your comments on any article presented here. Nothing makes me happier than receiving emails from people who have read something here that has helped them improve the health and vitality of their pets. I also welcome criticism and alternate theories, as it is always my intent to provide non-judgmental facts tempered with tolerance and whatever wisdom I may bring to the table. Please email any feedback to Comments. Be sure to mention the title of the article in your email.
Supplements

Is Pet Food Enough, or Should You Supplement?
Supplementation is a controversial subject. Some people never think to add anything to their pets' diet and others spend more on supplements than an average mortgage payment.
This collection of articles addresses some of the more popular supplements and discusses whether or not they are helpful or harmful.
